Cumin, Coriander and Fennel Tea (CCF Tea) is one of the simplest and most famous Ayurvedic formulas for detoxification and weight loss. The revitalizing yet mild blend helps to warm up the circulation as it stokes the metabolism and increases the digestive fire. Its slight bitterness increases the body’s detoxification process and helps to purify the blood. CCF Tea is a soothing formula that reduces agitation and inflammation as it restores, tones and tightens tissues. It also possesses a flushing action that simultaneously cleanses the urinary tract and reduces water weight.¬†Because CCF Tea is a diuretic, those who are strong Vata types or suffering from extreme Vata imbalances should limit their intake of diuretics.

Cumin, Coriander, Fennel Tea

  • Prep time: 2 minutes
  • Cook time: 10 minutes
  • Serves: 1


  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fennel Seeds


  • In a small pot add the whole cumin, coriander, and fennel seeds to 1 1/2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

  • Boil for 5 minutes with the lid on the pot.

  • Strain into a drinking cup and discard the spices.

  • Allow to cool to a warm temperature. Enjoy!
